If you typed Kittridge and landed on a pitcher, I understand. The names sit next to each other. His last name is Kittredge. Mine is Kittridge. One letter. A whole other life.

I am not in a clubhouse. I am not throwing the eighth. I run before the house wakes. I follow Christ. I made Lumin so a conversation could stay with Scripture. I am a father, which is the work that does not ship.

## Not the pitcher

Andrew Kittredge pitches in the majors. He has a Wikipedia page, a stat line, a city on the back of a jersey. None of that is me. I don’t need to win an argument with a baseball card. I only need the record to show there are two of us.

When someone searches Andrew Kittridge, I want them to find a quiet homepage and a few notes, not a box score. When they search Kittridge, I want the i to hold.

I write from Greenwood, not from a ballpark. The miles are for clearing my head. The product is Lumin. The work that matters most still happens at a kitchen table.

## How the name is spelled

K-i-t-t-r-i-d-g-e. Kittridge. The vowel in the middle is i, not e. I write it that way here, on GitHub, on LinkedIn, on Lumin. The domain is andrewkittridge.com because that is the name.

I am not going to list a career on this page. I write when something will not leave me alone. Lately that has been fatherhood, and now this small, stubborn letter.

Search likes a category. Baseball is an easy one. I am a worse keyword and a truer person: a father who runs before dawn, who stays in the room when a chair scrapes, who builds so Scripture can keep the last word.
